The Seattle Shakuhachi Society

The shakuhachi is a traditional Japanese, end-blown, bamboo flute.

The Seattle Shakuhachi Society is primarily a way for people who live in and near Seattle to find out about local shakuhachi-related events such as concerts, visiting teachers, workshops, and so on. Most of our members play the shakuhachi at least a little bit, but that's not a requirement.

To receive announcements about shakuhachi-related events, join our e-mail list at:

Upcoming events will be added to this page as time permits.
Please send additions and corrections to djeimz AT megaseattle.com.
